Step 1: Prototype
Welcome to the Prototype stage! This is the starting point of your NFT collection customization. Imagine an artist's canvas where you can mix and match elements to create the perfect masterpiece.
In this stage, you have the freedom to view each uploaded trait individually, as well as a generated image preview on the right-hand side of the screen, showing the combined traits selected.
What Can You Do Here?
Visualize Your Traits: On this page, you'll see a comprehensive list of all your uploaded traits. Each trait variant you uploaded will be displayed individually, giving you a visual overview of your collection.
Preview NFT: On the right side of the page, you'll see an example NFT generated with the currently selected traits. This changes as you adjust and edit traits, providing you with a real-time sneak peek of what your generative NFTs will look like!
Adjust Trait Layering Order: You can change the 'Z-index' or layer order of any trait by simply dragging its name up or down the list on the left. Remember, the higher up the list a trait is, the more "on top" it will appear in the final NFT.
Set Trait Rarity: For each individual variant, you can assign a rarity percentage. This determines how frequently that variant will appear in your generative NFTs.
Edit Variant Names: You can also edit the names of the individual variants of each trait. Maybe 'Emerald Green Background' sounds better than just 'Green'?
Add New Traits and Variants: Did you forget to include a 'Moustache' trait in your 'Faces' folder? No worries! You can add new traits and variants right from this page.
While this page might seem overwhelming at first glance, it's incredibly user-friendly. Play around with the different features, and watch as your NFTs change and evolve.
Screenshots are provided below to help guide you through the process. As always, take your time and ensure your collection looks exactly how you want it. Once you're satisfied, we're on to the next step of generating your image assets
Once you're finished with the prototype page, hit the small dropdown arrow in the top center of your screen to pull down the progress bar and click on step 2, "Generate".
Step 2: Generate
Welcome to the Generate stage! This is the exciting moment when your unique NFTs are born.
To start generating your assets hit the big yellow button that says "Auto Populate". You will then see a popup with some fields to fill out like token name, token description, and starting token ID. fill those in and then wait as your assets are generated.
Note: File names of the added one of one will be assigned to the attribute "Name" of the metadata.
The Generate page will use your prototype settings and create a real-time grid view of your NFTs. As you watch, your specified traits and variants will randomly combine according to their rarity percentages, and you'll see your unique NFTs populating the grid.
In the mix, you can also add one-of-one pieces to your larger collection. These special items can be individually edited and customized, adding a unique charm to your collection.
To manage individual NFTs, you may choose any of them and edit their metadata on the right-side of the screen. Here's what you can do with individual NFTs:
Edit token name, description, and traits
Add new traits
Delete individual token
Swap token position
Download token metadata
When you're satisfied with the way your collection looks, click on that arrow again to pull down the progress bar and click on step 3 "Deploy".
