This is the first stage of the launch process where we will input the basic details needed to deploy our smart contract. the page is split into two sections (as seen in the figure below).
On the right you'll see an overview of your collection and some details about its related smart contract and on the left you'll find a form where you will have to input your contract details. Lets walk through the various fields and describe what they are and how they relate to your project.
This is a unique identifier for your NFT smart contract. It serves as the title for the contract and distinguishes it from other contracts on the blockchain. This name is important for tracking and referencing your specific NFT collection or project. When choosing a name, ensure it's relevant to your project and easy to recognize, as it will be displayed when interacting with your NFTs on various platforms. Please note that the contract name must be less than 50 characters, cannot start with a number and cannot contain any special characters)
The token symbol is a short, unique identifier for your NFT collection, much like a ticker symbol for stocks. It represents your NFTs and is used to easily distinguish your tokens from others on the blockchain. This symbol will appear alongside your NFTs in wallets and marketplaces, so it's important to choose something memorable and relevant to your project. Keep it concise and impactful, as it will serve as the visual shorthand for your entire collection. The token symbol cannot lead with a number or contain any special characters and must be less than 8 characters.
Here you input a brief overview of your NFT collection that will be displayed on your collection page. It helps potential buyers and collectors understand the theme, concept, and purpose behind your project. This field has no impact on the smart contract itself and is purely for informational purposes. You can edit the description later through your mint admin page, so feel free to craft a compelling summary that effectively captures the essence of your collection.
The payout address is the wallet address that will receive the funds from your mint sales. Please note that this address cannot be changed later, so make sure to enter the correct one. While this address will receive the proceeds, the deployer address will still be the admin of the smart contract, retaining control over administrative functions. Double-check the payout address to ensure accuracy, as it is final once set.
The royalty percentage field determines the portion of each secondary sale that will be sent to the payout address. This is the percentage of the sale price you will receive whenever your NFTs are resold on the secondary market. Make sure to set this percentage based on your preferences, as it will apply to all future transactions. Once set, the royalty percentage cannot be changed, so choose carefully to ensure it aligns with your goals for the project.
The partner code is an optional feature that provides additional benefits for your NFT project. If you'd like to receive a partner code, you'll need to reach out to the Kingdomly team directly. With this code, you'll gain perks such as the ability to remove account limitations on the number of NFTs you can generate, offering greater flexibility for larger projects. Keep in mind, this is not required to deploy your smart contract but can enhance your experience if you choose to obtain one. For this demonstration however we will proceed without one.
